About Me

Hi! I’m Kathleen.

Kathleen Quiring

Clearly, I have important things to say.

I like to think of myself as an intellectual because I have a Master’s degree in literature, I wear glasses and I smoked a pipe one time. It helps me to feel better about the fact that I’m almost completely unemployable.  I come from an Old Colony Mennonite background and I’ve been married to my carpenter/musician husband, Benjamin, for over four years. He’s Mennonite, too.

Ben and I got married when I was twenty and in my third year of university. He was twenty-two.  We both grew up and continue to live in Leamington, Ontario.

I love Jesus, Renaissance literature, languages, etymology, museums, and carbohydrates.  I hate exercise.

Ben also loves Jesus, and enjoys fixing cars and eating pancakes. He hates everyone who happens to operate a motorized vehicle at the same time as him.

We both enjoy a do-it-yourself lifestyle and are both a touch chronically-depressive.

This is me, the one time I rode my bike.
